Compulsory Certification is the answer

Jesus Was a Tradesperson By Murray Strong
Certification is the answer Skilled Trades Ontario is a tiny group of people who decide the fate of Canadians who would like to become a tradesperson . They consider 144 professions to be “a skilled trade”. Only the following 23 are considered important and are classed as “compulsory “. The rest (121) are not worthy of any concern by the government. Trailer trash. Each trade has a code. Alignment and brakes technician 310E Auto body and collision damage repairer 310B Auto body repairer 310Q Automotive electronic accessory technician 310K Automotive service technician 310S Electrician –construction and maintenance 309A Electrician – domestic and rural309C Fuel and electrical systems technician 310C Hairstylist 332A Hoisting engineer – mobile crane operator 1 339A Hoisting engineer – mobile crane operator 2 339C Hoisting engineer – tower crane operator 339B Motorcycle technician 310G Plumber 306A Refrigeration and air conditioning systems mechanic 313A Residential (low rise) sheet metal installer 308R Residential air conditioning systems mechanic 313D Sheet metal worker 308A Sprinkler and fire protection installer 427A Steamfitter 307A Transmission technician 310D Truck and coach technician 310T Truck -trailer service technician310J . One curious trade in the list is hairstylist. I did research to find out why this profession was included in the compulsory group .In 1944 hairdresser was recognized as a skilled trade by the government.1958 the government of the day made hairdresser a “compulsory trade”. 1963 barber became a “compulsory trade”. 1991 barber and hairdresser merged to become hairstylist. Barbers were removed as a skilled trade. Barbers do not exist anymore. Then to get more power the trade was made red seal by The Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship. Amazing work by the hairstylist profession. I do not care what trade you decide to pursue, a hairstylist will always have work. I read the huge list of rules and training. Even how to listen to people. Never talk about religion or politics. Pick hairstylist if you want a profession for life. Remember if you’re a red seal certificate, you can work anywhere in Canada. I want carpentry to become a compulsory trade .Mike Yorke of Carpenters District Council Local 27 stated “carpenters are just as important as electricians and plumbers. The union is open to “grandfathering “ and other flexible rules to make it easier for carpenters to adjust to compulsory status “.God is waiting to see when his sons skills will be recognized . Thank you Denny Crane.
